The images on the custom drink ware (e.g. the clover leaf / miller lite logo, the coca-cola image, and eyeball image) are perfect examples of process pad printing. When applying four color process pad printed images on round objects like these blow molded cups, the most import elements for success are artwork manipulation and proper product tooling.
To achieve high quality process pad printing, our art department must first manipulate the artwork files. With years of experience from printing hundreds of process images, we have developed a system to manipulate the artwork files for the pad printing process. Once the artwork has been manipulated and the photo polymer or steel plates have been burned, we must build a holding fixture, also referred to as nest fixture, to hold the part during the printing process.
