Custom Screen Printing Services
When an image required to decorate a part is too large for our pad printers, we have the option of using one of our many screen printers. We have screen printers capable of printing both flat and round articles.
Using our flat screen printers, we have the ability to screen print flat parts such as binders, point of purchase signage, metal stampings, or metal fabricated parts. Using our bottle screen printers, also known as cylindrical screen printer, we have the ability to screen print round parts such as bottles, pint glasses, cosmetic jars, and thermal coffee mugs.
What is Screen Printing?
Screen printing is a wet process used to decorate both flat and round surfaces. Our screen printing services can be used to decorate plastic, glass, metal, wooden, or ceramic parts. Images created by screen printing are extremely opaque. For lower volume projects, multicolor images are achievable depending on registration although the part must be put through the machine for every color. For higher volume projects, we can decorate the parts using a multicolor screen printer that can decorate up to three colors in-line or two colors and a pressure sensitive label in-line.
Flat Screen Printers:
To print parts such as warning signs or 3-ring binders, we use our flat screen printers. Projects like these typically require flat but large print areas that are outside our pad printing capability.
Cylindrical Screen Printing:
Our "bottle" screen printers do just as their name suggests, they screen print cylindrical parts. Bottle screen printers can be adjusted to screen print parts with slight tapers, and they are equipped with an inflation system used for squeezable polypropylene bottles. Using these bottle screen printers, we have successfully screen printed products such as thermal coffee mugs, custom drinkware, bottles for anything from hydraulic fluid to cosmetics, syringes, and plastic tubes.
High Volume Screen Printing: Cylindrical Parts
On higher volume projects for cylindrical parts, we use a multi-station UV screen printer that can decorate up to three colors in-line or three colors and a pressure sensitive label in-line. This screen printer is equipped with in-line pre-treatment (flame treating) and post cure UV unit. The in-line flame treating unit allows us to screen print polypropylene and polyethylene parts at no additional cost to the customer. Since this screen printer uses UV ink, the parts are cured once the parts have passed through the UV curing unit. As with our high volume pad printer, this multi-station screen printer's daily output drives the printing cost way down.
