Product Decorating Spotlight: Screen Printing
To take on your product decorating needs for rigid plastic, glass, and metal parts, Unique Assembly & Decorating offers pad printing, screen printing, and hot stamping. With full command and control of these processes, we can offer our customers the best possible product decorating solution - which is typically the most economical. Of these services, today we are spotlighting screen printing. Here are some advantages and common uses for screen printing.
Wide Range of Substrates:
Screen printing can be used on various substrates, including plastics, metals, glass, ceramics, wood, etc., and is applicable for both flat and cylindrical parts. Screen printing is often used to print large images on signage, on bare, painted, and powder coated metal panels, and on metal fabricated parts. Screen printing is also used for two sided or wrap printing of plastic and glass bottles and jars.
Opaque & Bold Images:
Screen printing allows us to print large bold images with excellent opacity regardless of the color of substrate. Screen printing can be used for single color and multicolor applications. But, with multicolor images, each color will require a separate pass.
Ink Durability:
The heavier ink coverage from screen printing can sometimes make screen-printed graphics more durable and resilient than other product decorating options. For this reason, screen printing is a good option for materials that will be subject to outdoor, industrial, or other harsh environments. Screen printing inks can be solvent based, or UV cured.
Cost-Effectiveness:
The stability and practical advantages of screen printing make it attractive for small, medium, and large volume projects.
We hope to hear from you regarding your next product decorating project.
Your Unique Team.
