What is Polycarbonate (PC)?
Polycarbonate is a type of plastic that is naturally transparent and lightweight. As it’s virtually unbreakable and has transparency like glass, it’s typically used in applications which require material to be see-through yet durable. Examples of this include eyeglasses or even bulletproof glass. It has remarkable longevity, making it cost effective for the quality it delivers. Being heat and shatter resistant makes it a popular choice for industries such as food and beverage, among other storage uses. The quality and versatility of the plastic material make it a popular choice for signage and printed retail displays.

Types of Printing & Services
There are several options to choose from in terms of how you would like your polycarbonate items/surfaces to be printed.
Printing Types
- Polycarbonate screen printing which consists of images being transferred directly by pressing through the image “burned” into a screen
- Polycarbonate pad printing which consists of images being transferred to each part from a printing plate using a silicone pad; ideal for projects requiring a single, large image on a flat or cylindrical part. Also best for producing very opaque images
- Polycarbonate industrial inkjet printing which eliminates the setup cost associated with the previous two printing options and offers an unlimited number of colors; most economical and provides a limitless number of colors for plastic parts
Value-Added and Decorating Services
We also offer value-added services such as in-house color matching, in-house plate making and fixture design for multicolor jobs. Decorating services include hot stamping/foil stamping, heat transfer decal decorating, foil banding, colorization and hologramming.
