Pad Printing on PlasticRequest A Quote
At Unique Assembly & Decorating, we specialize in printing logos and other artwork on plastic parts. While we offer a variety of product printing options for nearly any rigid substrate, we are most often asked about our custom plastic pad printing, especially for plastic injection molded parts. With our in-house capabilities, we have experience in printing on flat, oval, concave or convex, and even textured surfaces with the pad printing process. We have printed on clear, colored and frosted plastic parts.
Some of our plastic pad printing has worked with materials such as ABS, nylon, acrylic, polypropylene, polyester, polyethylene and even more challenging plastics like acetal (Delrin / Celcon). We offer both single color pad printing or 1-color pad printing, and multicolor pad printing (i.e., multicolor spot images and 4-color process images).
PLASTICS WE PRINT ON
- Acetal (Delrin / Celcon)
- Other plastics considered too difficult to decorate or print
Having an inventory of multiple ink lines allows us to easily find the best ink for your plastic product that will provide excellent adhesion. Our full ink lines, that include both conventional and UV inks, work with most plastics and allow us to match to your PMS colors in house. We also have pretreatment capabilities for polypropylene and polyethylene plastic parts to ensure proper adhesion. We use custom built pretreatment equipment that has been designed for high output for both flat and round plastic parts, meaning lower pretreatment cost for the customer. For more challenging plastics such as Acetal (Delrin / Celcon) or Urea, we have developed printing processes that produce excellent adhesion.
Is pad printing the right choice for my plastic part?
Even though we will do the research and legwork to find the best printing solution for your plastic product or part, pad printing may be the right solution for your project if:
- Your product is a challenging material including Polypropylene or Polyethylene requiring pretreatment or more difficult materials such as Delrin, Acetal or Urea.
- The decorating area is raised or recessed.
- The decorating area has complex curvature, concave, or convex.
- The decorating area is near a vertical wall or vertical obstruction.
- The image to be printed is multicolor.
Our experienced staff will work with any unique project to find the best, most cost effective solution for your high volume and large quantity printing-on-plastic needs.
